Now accepting applications/interviews for mechanics positions at RPS

Now accepting applications/interviews for mechanics positions at RPS

Racing Performance Services is now accepting applications for race day mechanics positions for the 2007 season. This entails a commitment of Friday/Saturday through Sunday for regional race weekends and Thursday though Monday through National Events. Individuals that apply must be able to commit to 8-10 events annually. There are an expected total of 14 events for 2007. Candidates can look forward to becoming familiar with processes and techniques that are used on most AMA teams. Each mechanic will be assigned a rider and have approximately forty items that must be checked and maintained after every riding session.

For 2007, RPS will again join with Komodo and field a 2 to 4 rider sprint team with Danny Kelsey as one of the lead riders. 2006 was a great first year for the team and RPS is ready to step up our team commitment for 2007. Mechanics will have an opportunity to learn mechanical techniques and information that AMA teams use, but also have an opportunity to train on suspension and chassis technologies.

The qualified candidates do not need to have direct experience with motorcycle or automotive service industries, but should be knowledgeable in practical application of basic mechanical assembly. All candidates will go through a thorough training program. The opportunities are very good, after one year of service qualified candidates will be assisted with placement within an AMA team if that is the direction they should choose. Other candidates may find it fun to be directly involved with some of the best young talent within the CMRA.

I would like to start training qualified candidates immediately this season, so if you are interested, please contact me at 713 304 5509 or marcustmcbain@hotmail.com with questions or resumes. For more information about RPS, please visit the website at www.roadracinghelp.com

Thank you,
Marcus McBain

If one of you guys could send him my contact info, I would appreciate it.

A fresh MMI graduate would be perfect for the job. Good experience for the guy and a chance to work with some of the regions top riders.

Great Opportunity to learn and to do something you like. With my current job I can not commit a 100% of the time needed but never the less a bump for those that haven't decided on a career yet. (Not many jobs that a mechanic can get without buying your own tools first...) All you have to do is leach information from Marcus.

Now if you had a position available for a slacker who can drop by whenever time permits and help, that I can do.

I actually have an interest in what kind of opportunities there are for people with computer skills on the AMA teams. I Also have a mechanical background but have been in IT for close to 10 years.
