Fastest speed cited was 98 in a 55. I was running about 130 between Camp Wood and Rocksprings with a group. We didn't even see the guy in an old Cherokee until we were waiting for everyone else to catch up and saw the red and blue wig/wag. Pulled over and waited, he chewed everyone out and by the time he got to me, he calmed down a bit. Good thing we pulled over and waited, he had a border patrol and game warden blocking the road ahead of us. This was around the opening weekend for deer season.

I understand that by putting down 98 versus 99, he gave us a break with the JP. Deferred was a little over $350 for 6 months (I think).

Best excuse I've seen used. My aunt in the RGV got pulled over for 77 in a 55. Trooper says "You were going 77", she said, "I know, that's what the sign says" He said, "Ma'am, that the sign for highway 77" She looked at him with a surprised expression and said "Oh, thank you didn't catch me earlier on 186".

Laughed his off and said to have a good day. True story.

You're usually gone by the 2nd or 3rd turn.

I have it on good authority that, in staton's case at least, it is the bike and not the rider...
