120 in a 65 in the Woodlands, I had a flippy plate too but it was halfway viewable at the time, pulled me over and asked me if I wanted to go to jail. I was respectful, "No Sir, Yes Sir" had all my stuff legit so he just ticketed me.

I know a girl that got a WARNING for 137 in a 55, then 2 months later got another warning for 123 or 124 in a 55. I saw the written warnings. Must be nice to have .

120 in a 60 by a state trooper.

Wrote it for 100+ in a 60. Cost 500+ to get off with 6 month probation, and a fine.

Many years ago, I did something REALLY stupid in a car. They came to my house and arrested me, wife bailed me out.

It was a very costly top speed run. Ticket read 167 (though by my knowledge of 5th, 3.31s, and zinging 6300RPM, officer must have clocked me when I was coming back down). Judge drove a very nice Porsche, yet he was NOT amused. No sympathy.

Outcome: Cost $2,000 (including bail), 90 days probation (every two weeks they want their $45) and deferred adjudication for 6 months. It never went on my record. Whew!!!

Sucked, but clear lesson learned.

well.. no one here had said it so i will....
i haven't gotten pulled over doing over 150 because they CANT catch me!!!
I have been pulled over total of 15 times on my bike, i only got 2 tickets, one for expired state inspection and one for doing 55 on 45 at Tomball.

on my car i haven't gotten pulled over because i have an awesome radar that tells me when a cop wants to just waist my time and make some money! LOL

I got ticked for going 199 on my honda 50.

I was going down hill and I hit a rock. Flipped off the bike and landed on my feet. Ninja style. Ended up riding the 50 home.

Your poll is not structured properly. Shouldn't you be looking for the most mph over PSL rather that just the speed cited for? 100 in a 65 isn't that big of a deal. 100 in a 30 is.

Either way, my worst was 110 in a 45. That was before I owned a motorcycle.

To many variables so I made it easier. Seems to be anything over double the posted limit is where problems happen...

I was just curious what others have experienced. I had an officer once cite me for excess of 160+ and he wrote on the ticket that he "paced me for 3-miles at 140mph"....

145 in 55. Went to jail on the spot for reckless driving. That dumb little move cost me a ton of money for three years.
