No way. All the new bikes are getting the same. It does not compliment that look IMO.

What model V Star? If it is an 1100 there is a metric ton of stuff out there for it, I almost bought one, but it is too small for me...
This is a GREAT place to start: http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/

I'm thinking about doing the same if I don't end up selling my VStar ..... let me know how the conversion goes. GL.

DirtyD - thanks for those sites, they gave me some good ideas.

I have been looking into getting a modern triumph bonneville to do that to. Been looking for kits for it. Rode my father's cruiser the other day and forgot how nice they can be for highway and backroad cruising. Especially in Houston where it is straight and flat everywhere. That kit from bluecollarbobbers.com looks sick.

In Pasadena you have shop called on the boarder discount motorcycle tire off of Spencer hwy and Shaver rd. They have an extensive selection and ordering catalogs to choose what you want. The shop is a good distance from you.

They do have a lot of stuff there but don't get tires mounted there. They destroyed a set of my wheels and refused to replace them. Looked like they went at them with a hammer and chisel.

Are there any shops in Houston that do this type of work? I wonder if Pat @ Motorcycles Unlimited does these types of conversions, might call him to ask. Haven't decided on doing any conversions/changes, just brainstorming.

I'm capable of working on bikes, like doing minor maintenance or modifications, but conversions might be out of my reach.

I do like some of those bikes from the links though, like this one. Wouldn't know where or how to start to be honest.

I have a 2002 650 and love it. I have also been trying to bobber my vstar. Blue Collar has a lot of good products and they are very friendly.

I have posted some pictures, but there's still a lot of work left to do.
