I was lucky enough to be caught in a township in NY that offers up to $1000 fine/1 year in jail/3 years probation. I paid $500, plus I think $275 in NY court fees. That was a plea down to "unsafe start", so it didnt end up on my record. I went to the judge and said "I spun my tires. I admit it. I'll plead guilty to unsafe start and pay a fine. I'm guilty. I DID NOT do anything to deserve jail time!". He agreed.

I think I'm really only ever going fast enough for a wreckless driving charge when I'm texting.

Just got a ticket Saturday for 93 in a 70. I was going faster than that but he said since I immediately pulled over and didn't try to run he let me go with only 23 miles per hour over the limit so I can do defensive driving. Kind of dumb as the turn on the freeway was the only section I sped in and he just happen to be sitting there.

Long time ago got a ticket for drag racing and exhibition of speed but also didn't go to jail.

Cops are usually cool if you are respectful.

I was clocked at 97 MPH in a 35 MPH curve (55 zone, in my car). There was a side street that I could have ditched down. I stopped and waited for him. He wrote it for 75, and reduced it to 65 in a 55 in court. Give respect, get respect (I know...not always!)

I assume you mean on motorcycles? I never have. Got pulled over once 15 years ago for going 85 in a 35 and got off with a warning. I am obviously not trying hard enough.

I was technically "arrested" (but released into parents authority) when I was 16 in 1992 because I built up a LOT of tickets that I failed to goto court for. At 16, you have to go with a parent or guardian and smart me didn't want my parents knowing about my speeding tickets. So I get pulled over in a 1992 Pontiac Sunbird for doing like 4x in a 35mph and the cop tells me to goto the payphone and call my parents to pick me up or I'll be going to jail in 15 minutes. Luckily they came and I didn't goto jail. I had to pay a bondsman and went to 1400 Lubbock where I sat in court with thieves and other bad people in jail uniforms. The defendant ahead of us was giving his own testimony on his case where he ran from the cops on foot during a robbery. Not the proudest moment for me or my family. In the end, we ended up having all the tickets consolidated and paid $2000 or so to have them dismissed.

So I have been bad since I was 16 lol

2004

didnt get arrested for speeding at the time of the offence, but if you consider the time i let a warrent get out of hand for speeding 99 in a 70.

then i was found getting out of church where i was arrested for past due warrents this would count right?

this was hard to explain to the rents and the rest of the ppl watching me get loaded up into that car...

I would like to take this time to personal make a direct comment to an Officer with the last name or "Green" who just reccenlty gave me a ticket for 96 in a 65 knowing that 95 was the limit for takeing the drivers ed corse and haveing said ticket dismissed

and i also want to thank him for the sobriety test (@9am) along with the "you white boys" comment to boot if it where not for you, society might not be as racial aganst your kind... but yet again somthing my great great great grandpa did to your great great great grandpa alows you to feel that i have wronged you and i am the great new menice on society.

so i pull over on the Highway three weeks ago and this guy makes me lay face down on I-10 shoulder then tells me to get back up and turn off my bike, then tells me to throw the keys away from me then the Sob test then asks me if i was ready to leave this world in a coffin... court date on the 22nd

i was speeding but not to this extent, i gurantee he wanted to put me in jail
