Question Who's been arrested for speeding?

Being arrested for speeding is one of my fears. Has an entire group (4 or more) of riders ever been arrested together?

I couldn't find the not yet option so I didn't participate. Don't want to jinx myself.

I've never been arrested for anything. Never even been in real trouble. Never done any illegal drugs - never smoked pot. I'm a goodie-goodie, which is probably why I surround myself with naughty people.

In fact I haven't even had a speeding ticket in 16 years (I did get one, but it was dismissed).

Pretty sure you cannot be arrested for "speeding." Think they'd hook and book you for reckless driving.

That's correct. The two offenses in Texas that you cannot be arrested for is speeding and open container.

Tex. Transportation Code 543.004. NOTICE TO APPEAR REQUIRED: CERTAIN OFFENSES.
(a) An officer shall issue a written notice to appear if:
(1) the offense charged is speeding or a violation of the open container law, Section 49.03, Penal Code; and
(2) the person makes a written promise to appear in court as provided by Section 543.005.

(b) If the person is a resident of or is operating a vehicle licensed in a state or country other than this state, Subsection (a) applies only as provided by Chapter 703.

(c) The offenses specified by Subsection (a) are the only offenses for which issuance of a written notice to appear is mandatory.

Not advocating this action by any means, young and ignorant, 25 years ago. Afterwards I realized how stupid and never did it again.

Yea, I realize it's called reckless driving, but that's a judgment call up for debate. Would you call Rossi reckless if he were doing 100 mph on a super sport in the middle of West Texas on an open road with absolutely no traffic in sight? If you're going faster than what's posted, there is no doubt that you are speeding.

Okay, that got a little creepy.

Think of me in a huge t-shirt that nearly goes to my knees and giant sweat pants with a big purple hoodie. It's my favorite pajamas.

Was making a u turn under the underpass with a buddy and got caught in the lane that merged onto the highway and had a truck behind me and a lady in a car next to me with her blinker on trying to get into my lane. So i dropped a gear and got up to say 80mph passed her and merged to the right lane my buddy on the outside lane caught up to me we stopped a the next underpass to wait on friends and lights and sirens. said we were excessively speeding and street racing 1 way to jail don't pass go or collect a ticket. end up costing me 1k bucks to make it go away but stays on my record.
