DPS is a joke...

About a month ago I got my M endorsement at the DPS and wrote them a check for the fee. I got a letter in the mail the other day (weeks later) saying my check bounced and threatening criminal charges if I don't send them $46. Well their "deadline" was new years and I didn't even get the letter till Friday the 7th. I have literally called 10 DPS locations friday and today, and not one of the phone numbers will put me in touch with a real person...just a message about the hours and then it hangs up on me. How the am I supposed know if my license is suspended If I can't talk to anyone there? I'd go up there, but I seriously don't have time for that with work. For now I guess I'm gonna ride anyway, no choice...but I'd rather get this sorted out

My Mother in law is a DPS drivers license lady...in fact, she supervises like 5 different offices.

I think you're playing it wise by saying "screw it, i'll just keep on riding". lol

let me know if you can't get it sorted....She may be willing to help.

I think if you send, IN WRITING, that you only just received the notice and the fee to cover your , you'll be okay - but definitely follow up on this.

I had a warrant out due to missing the arraignment or whatever (my f*#king lawyer who said they would go in my place.. and didn't). Paid fine, warrant is gone (according to same lawyer... hmmm) yet I can't do online address changes at DPS anymore..
