This isn't a thread about being nice, and it isn't about being fat on a scooter. It's about seeing people not wearing "proper" gear while riding. In that case, NO protective gear at all, not even a helmet.

I went down wearing gear, and these spots on my hips were from my jacket coming up over the waistband of my jeans, and then my knee with just jeans. Knee took three stitches and is still healing 4 weeks later. Hips only took about 2 weeks, but it was it uncomfortable to wear anything that sat around my hips during that time (underwear elastic, the waistband of jeans, anything there rubbed on the raw skin).

Had the same thing happen to my hip, I bought a longer jacket so I'll have some better overlap between my pants and jacket.
