I usually don't wear a helmet when I drive to work. My commute to work is only a mile. It literally takes me longer to put my gear on than to get to work. Other than that, I wear my lid and jacket errwhere.

Quick question. ATGATT means riding pants also? I tend to wear jeans everywhere I ride.

I agree! I could take mine anywhere and not worry about parking and leaving it. The upright riding position was perfect for commuting. I rode it 20k miles and I did nothing to it. I ended up selling it to a friend because I needed money more than I needed three bikes and I regret it.

I do the same. If it's a short ride I go without. I never go without gloves, and try to always at least wear glasses. Shorts I have done again short trips. Never flip flops or sandals

If I were only a mile from work I would walk all the time. Or take a bicycle.
