twtex seems to be mostly old guys with old guy attitudes.
i have met a few of them in real life, and they seemed like decent people, but not anything like the mh people. a bit of a generation gap.
this kind of thing being posted on twtex seems kind of like it would get a 'get off my lawn!' reaction from them

I agree with you to a point. I DID get pulled over close to the Lake with my wife in the back. I stopped right away. Cop ran all my stuff and straight up told me they were cracking down on sport bikes. Since I was nice and stopped right away he let me off with a warning for going like 4 over. he saw that we were obviously going down to the water to swim cause we had towels and swimwear in our backpacks which he saw when I was digging for the insurance.

I was wondering where the resident was...

Hmmmm... Let's see, I don't personally know why he decided to get it or has it, but I do know that there are a lot of ppl on bikes that like taking the beltway from time to time and not have to pay...Some ride the line, some have it tucked in where camera cant capture, others well...Might have other tricks.

but for someone that HAS ridden with this person, and been there when he's gotten pulled over, heard his story of getting pulled over, pulls over when he see's another jack that tried running and he just pulled off to make sure everything was ok. Not concern with what could happen to him (cop think he is implicated somehow) by stopping. I would say I have a way better idea or understanding of this situation...even if I didn't I would sit there and jump into all sorts of conclusions...

Any other questions?

Edit: and it's NewRider (one word, capital "N" & "R") lol

*wouldn't

I know there were a lot more errors but that one makes a difference in what I was trying to say.

Plus, no one has talked about respect or street cred...You so far are the only person that has brought that up..

Well, doesn't it speak volumes that in my short time, I've been able to see you as the biggest one? Except for that thread of "the Pace" I really don't see much good coming out of you. Now let's see, Renzo if I'm not mistaken has been riding for 10+ years... Ryko, I think 1 or 2 (not really sure)

I've answered to this comment, but I really don't see where you were going with it.

I could have bout a bike 7 years ago, but if I only ride it once or twice a month, and joined some site 5 or 6 years ago, so I have "OG status"... That makes me a more experienced and better rider than someone that bought a bike 1 year ago, but rides the out of it any chance they get??

these are not examples or real ppl, but just trying to show, how long you've own a bike doesn't automatically equal, more experience. To me, is about how much you go out and ride your bike, always a new lesson in everyride.

I hope i've explained this like I wanted to...

Anyone want to start up a defense fund thread? I don't give a if they were speeding or not, if they weren't evading, they shouldn't be charged for it. X's holier than thou attitude is getting real old too. X, how many times do you have to repeat the same opinion? It's like you copied and pasted the same post on every thread you get on.

My question is. Why do all these riders talk when they don't even have a clue what happened to us. I agree with most of you about runners... But dont talk about fellow members (educate them) those of us who try to be responsible and practice safe riding... Spirited rides are great when done properly.. To all u who have their foot in their mouths.. will be my Judge..

Check out what some one posted on TWT.. That's what kinda took place..

Thanks silver bullet... Good post!!

Don't jump to conclusions without the facts. If they really evaded a stop and truly were running they probably wouldn't have been caught or would have been cracked up on the side of the road. The forest racers are also very aware of limited routes of escape so running is often futile.

Actually not an uncommon scenario. Say you're speeding along on a curvy road through the forest at 80-100mph. You pass a LEO or game warden sitting on the side of the road. Many times before the LEO pulls onto the road and even gets his siren and lights on the bikes are already out of site. So are they running or simply unaware that the LEO has started pursuit? Should they be expected to anticipate that the LEO will follow and slow down and stop? Since driving too fast already for the road condition I doubt they would endanger their safety further and divert attention to their rear mirrors?
Speeding - yes, reckless driving - maybe, true case of evading - I seriously doubt it.
