Just wanted you all to know
It's not always about the money.... (copy of an email)
The bike is still for sale, and I really do not want to scare you away from motorcycling but this is not really a good beginner bike. It is capable of doing well over 150 mph and just a minute over application of the high performance brakes on these bikes can send you flying over the top of the handlebars. Just because the displacement is only 600cc's does not mean this bike is slow by any stretch of the imagination and I would not feel comfortable selling it to someone with no previous experience on a motorcycle.
There is nothing more fun in the world than riding a bike, but it is something that should be approached with respect and safety, I would highly recommend taking a Motorcycle Saftey Course before buying a bike, and for your first bike possibly consider something smaller, like a suzuki gs500 or ninja250 to help get your feet wet.
If you have already taken a Motorcycle Saftey Course then I would be more than happy to show you the bike and discuss the final price in person, if not I can recommend a good place to go at spring branch ISD they are having classes on 8/26 9/9 and 9/23, the phone number is 713-365-5660.
I hope you don't get upset, but you have to understand, I've put way too many friends of mine in the ground who thought the ability to purchase a bike gave them the ability to control one as well, and it's just not the case.
Also, I've included a link here http://i7.tinypic.com/259agxs.jpg to what the NADA value is for the bike, I always prefer to use nada.com because that is the source a bank or financing company will use when deciding whether or not to finance a vehicle.
Good luck, and whether you want to see my bike or not, please always wear a helmet/jacket and ride safe.
I am a beginner rider, and I am looking for a bike that would best fit my needs, size, and price. I was wondering if this bike was still available for sale. If so, would you be willing to go down on your price to perhaps $3350. I've came across another sale for a 2003 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R with 2 matching grey helmets and grey matching jackets and gloves for $3600. Also, the Kelley Blue Book value is less than your listing price. If you can meet or beat this deal, I would be interested in purchasing your bike. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you!
