Better pics

Question, what type of boots do y'all recommend? I see there are MX boots and then offroad/dual sport boots which pretty much look the same.

don't go cheap on boots. They don't last long and the seams will come apart. I know the next pair I buy will be $200+. Not sure which brand I'll be going for, but it'll sure have the steel toe guards. The style I have now are O'neal Elements I think....they look like snowboard boots. While they do the job, I know they aren't protecting me as well another boot is capable of doing and they're holding up as well as you can expect for $100.

Congrats on the new bike (even tho it's a 4 stroke). Now start adding bark busters and a Spark Arrestor.

Offroad boots have more tread on the bottom, helpfull for times you have to pull your bike out of a hole, and a garter around the top of the boot that hugs your leg tight to keep water out. I have some Garines, have held up well for 4 years now and look to last a few more. I had a pair of fox formas before and wore them out way too fast, and they leaked water at the ankle seam from the start.

Def take you up on that... need to get some gear this week and hope to get out for a day of riding next weekend. Of course, me being me, already want to do to the bike... me thinks an FMF is in its future.

May need a volunteer to help me set the sag (anyone anyone)

Locally, I go to Chad aka MagicMan (here on the boards) for my gear and accessories.
Online, it's basically wherever the deals are: cyclegear (even the clearance rack at CG), motorcycle superstore, motosport, etc.

I was wondering about that, didn't know if they made vented gear for MX stuff.

Boots...

Thor Q1
O'Neal Clutch Boots
Alpinestars Tech3

I love my AS street boots, how are the offroad boots for type of trails around here?

I would throw Gaerne into the mix.

I have GX-1 boots and even at just under $200 they are made in Italy.

2008 Gaerne Gaerne GX 1 Boot Black
