craigslist find- 96 yamaha yzf750r $3500

1996 yzf750r for sale. previous owner dropped bike, so it has some scrapes and dings, and then let sit. no case scratches. I purchased it and cleaned the carbs and replaced the water pump, and clutch slave cylinder. I've replaced the tires and chain and sprockets, grips, handlebars. Title in clean and in hand. bike has 17482 miles.
installed:
bridgestone bt106's
pro grip carbon sleeve grips
vortex sproket set
vortex handlebars
factory pro jet kit
k&n air filter
have new brake pads in packages

Is a 96 bike for $3,500 really a good deal? Doesn't seem like it to me then again I dont know about that model.

low production numbers and a bit hard to find. it's yamaha's 750. honda, kawasaki, and suzuki have others, but with much higher production numbers.

To expensive for a bike you can't find parts for, I had a 96 yzf600r from Canada, I couldn't find any parts for that thing anywhere.

lil high, and you can get parts all day long, as long as u know where to get them. on a bike like this it would be more of a " hey look whats still around, more than a daily rider" i just worked on a yellow and red one.

i actually know the owner and the bike.
the amount of money and time he has put into this bike for mechanical restoration i would call it a good deal!
If i had the extra money and the space i would buy it just to restore it completly for my collection.
these are rare!

whats the point of buying like fine art or something? its nice to look at,but art just sits on your wall. this is rare, looks nice, and will give you a good time on the street. it also costs a lot less than a new r6 and in my opinion this 750 is a lot cooler.

There was a limited edition run that came with stock Ohlins rear shock and a couple of other tweaks from the factory.
Now that would be reasonably collectable
