next bike?

thinking about investing in a new (to me) bike. i've been riding for around 5 years now. first bike was a suzuki gs500f, 2nd was the f4i i have now. any ideas on what is a good reliable bike. good for the track and good for the road. possible going with another 600 or may step up to a liter bike, not sure yet.

can't do much better than what you're on IMHO

Sure a newer 600 puts out a few more hp but at the cost of being high strung. They're also a lot less crash worthy if you're talking occasional track days.

why get another L4?

try something different. an sv650 might be a fun little kick in the pants. its good on the street and track. and will give you a different experience than another l4. a lot cheaper, too

+1 try a v 650 or l3 675, both excellent track bikes.

GSXR 750. Nearly as light and manuverable as a 600, nealy as much power as a 1000.

I would look for something with nice low end torque just in case you're in a pinch in traffic. Sometimes being able to accelerate quickly will get you out of a situation.

I'm a huge fan of the 636, so that gets my biased vote. A close second would be the 750, and you said you like 04-05's.
