In this day and age with everybody and complaining it's great to see some true leadership. Imagine the naysayers at Yamaha wanting blood for Rossi's defection. Instead Yamaha rises above the rest, does several post Rossi marketing campaigns, and, in the end, thanks a great champion.

Funny, I see it as no more than a PR exercise to right the public ill feeling towards Yamaha over their refusal to allow Rossi to test the Ducati at Valencia albeit that they relented when the feeling of disapproval became to loud to be ignored.

If he'd topped the Valencia timing sheets I wonder if we'd be seeing this

Rossi made Yamaha a lot of money and they won't soon forget it I suspect. It's kind of hard to on a guy after a run like that. Yamaha did the right thing. Good on em!
