Yep, I have turned down people that didn't have at least Helmet, Jacket and Gloves.

And then I have had them come back later with them on only to thank me cause they didn't know what they were getting themselves into.

I don't know if anyone here knew Figg that worked at Discount Motorcycle Tires in Pasadena, but he suited up in a jacket and I said, you ought to wear your full suit. He said are you serious? I said um yeah. This isn't a ride to Galveston. So he suited up and lowsided his bike on my ride. He was happy to have had that full suit on. Otherwise, he would have been in the hospital for sure.

We preach gear for a reason. It is because we see too many bad things happen. Just look at the www.ride2die.com website and you will see why. I have seen a lot of that first hand and I would like to never have to see that again.

I saw a moron on an F2 with a D&D exhaust riding to Ikea with his girlfriend on the back. Both had absolutely no gear on whatsoever. If this was you, get rid of your bike you moron!

actually 2 went down

and i was the 2nd one.
bike not damaged that bad. cosmetic damage only. should be an easy fix w/the help of swiftri and htown1000.
all i can say is keep that gear on.
i've walked away from two accidents in my 6 years of riding relatively unscaved.

Huh...Ride your own lines, and don't chase....Too fast or wide into a curve either mean he was following another rider beyond his skill level, or showing off up in front of the pack trying to prove something to the rest of the rides.

Could be his lucky day tho. Any crash you can walk away from, even if you bike is totally and you're sort. Its still a lot better than the alternative...Dead.

New R6? That's why the squid didn't have anymore money for a jacket. The dealer knew that he would come out and wrecked his so they gave him a lid so he could stay alive and pay for the .

It was wrecked in the grass/dirt too. He didn't drop the bike on the actual road at all. I'm sure it could have been a lot worse. Now I have to go back to Brookshire to finish the ride from this past Sunday....

Ouch is right. He'll need a tank, upper, left lower, subframe, tailsection, headlight, screen, fairing stay and a few odds and ends to get it back to normal again. Looks like about a $1800.00 f-up. He could have invested in a $1800.00 Ninja 250 and a $180.00 MSF and saved a bunch if he still crashed. Oh well no one ever seams to listen and learn. Looks like another race/track bike is born...lol

I would not trust any wreck bike on the street or track unless that I fix it up myself. Some of these want to save money and put it in their pockets and cut corners fixing up.
