close calls?

On average, how many close calls do you have per day? Either cuz its rider error or some stupid cage. I just had three within two hours! I hate cars!!!

I'd have to say at least 2 per day. Not really close calls but at least something happening to where I have to take evasive action.

Nothing really scares me like it used to though. Guess I'm used to it.

I had 3 close calls today within about about 5 miles and I was in a cage. 3 Harley riders trying to ride together in all 3 lanes of 105 the 2 in back women riders appeared to have way bigger bikes than they needed. The 1st close call was when the 3rd rider ran into my lane in front of me to avoid dropping her Hogas she came to a stop. she could barely put her feet down. I was paying attention to her and stopped in time, the 2nd the same 3rd rider ran right in front of me to catch back up to the group and I mean like 2-3 feet in freont of me, I slowed to let her in again. Then I end up in up passing the 2 women on the left and the guy leading moves over in front of me and all but stops to look back and find where the other 2 riders went. I was really irratated to say the least. That kind of rider be it sport bike or cruiser deserves what the get. About 10 cars running along with us all had to deal with the same all the way down 105.

even on my loud lil' 50 I have close calls. Today I got behind Robin (boostonU) and Leslie (former Boostjunkie) and one of thier friends. They were just riding, and I guess for some odd reason there was this guy who didn't like bikes apparently and started to try and swerve to hit them. I pulled up closer to them so he couldn't get behind them, but this guy was nuts. anyways there are some crazy people out there.

Was heading up I45 today from Clear Lake to the Beltway, and had two bikes, each with a tank-topped passenger, come around me. One in my lane, one on the left shoulder. I hate when the 5%ers make the rest of us look bad!

There close calls all the time but I ride as defensively as humanly possible to avoid putting myself at cagers mercy. I am invisible and ride the same way. Dont take it for granted that the cager can see you, even when they are looking straight at you.

Twisted Metal, where in Corpus do you ride? I took a back road out of the Rio Grande Valley (in a car) and came out near Refugio. It was a pretty bad assed road. I would have to look it up to find the number. It saved 1/2 on my trip back to Houston. Would like to ride down there and ride it on the bike.

I'm not sure but I think its the Falfurrais exit past Refugio. I will look up the area on a map to get the #.
