I admit, I am not registered to vote nor will I be a likely candidate to become one. The truth of the matter is I really don't care who's running the show, and if I think things are bad for me personally, then I have to do something personally to make them better (work harder etc etc).

I know that logic is flawed but if I'm hungry, it's easier for me to cut someones grass, make $20 and buy food, than it is for me to vote someone in who believes in lowering food prices.

Thats survivor mentality. Vote doesnt affect the present. Your vote counts towards the future.
I vote as I feel it is my responsibility to be heard.

Basically the poll is showing a nearly 50/50 split to who votes and who dont vote.

when it comes to presidential elections, i don't vote because i don't like the idea of the electoral college making the ultimate decision.

I agree, electoral college does not have any obligation to go with the popular vote. But then again most americans don't even know what the electoral college is.
