it's the old zx6r. . .rebadged as a ZZR. basically a sport-touring bike.

i ended up paying $8,100 after shipping and TTL and all the other that comes with it.....originally $7,300. But yeah its a sport touring bike as all the magazines say but its pretty nice. and yeah ive takin the MSF a while back and keep goin back yearly for the extra experiance. well this is my first bike to own myself but i have rode plenty of other bikes like my dads or some families bikes that were givin to me for a couple of months here and there.

the zzr was re-introduced in 2003 or 2004. i got my new 2004 zx636r for $7900 out the door in June 04 from Pasadena Kawasaki. My friend javier got his 2005 zx636r January of 05 for $8100 OTD too. when the truck that was delivering all the new 2005 636's to southeast texas came in we went and picked it up when it was fresh out the crate. first one in southeast texas to get it, but we didnt pay any extra.

sorry to say, they screwed you :eh:

Hey ZZR if they get to giving you a hard time, just ask them what year model their bike is and then say "Oh.... mines an 07"

Yes it does matter. But carbs are a pain in the , even back in the day. If you wanna add anything you most likely will have to rejet. My idea of fun it not taking apart four carbs so that I can add an exhaust. If you let it sit up anytime you'll have to have the carbs cleaned out. You still have to deal with chokes, and cold weather start ups. blah blah blah. I'm not saying that he got screwed, but carbs are a pain in the plain and simple. All things being equal, what would you want if you paid 8100, carbs or FI?

If you add a pipe to an FI bike you need to remap it... which means you need a PCIII which costs more $$.

It's his purchase, why do you care about the specs on the bike? Sounds like he's hella happy with his bike, so just let well enough alone.

I think it's a sweet bike... and I have an F4i which is Honda's 'sport touring' 600. It doesn't matter, both of our bikes were supersport contenders and champs in 00-02 so they are more than competent bikes.

thanks bros, i didnt mean to start anything i just got a new bike that i love, i love the way it looks, feels and handels. in that case i dont think it matters if its carb or fi or a fuggin lawn mower motor that sounds like its off i love my bike because its my bike.......you have your bikes and thats cool cause you love them too or you wouldnt have gotten them right? everybody is losin focus on why we all ride, now everybody wants the fastest meanest bike out there just to say they have it and truthfully dont know how to ride it and then boooom wreck it.....well your bike might do 9s in the quarter but mine will definatly get down there slower but in one piece.......so next time your judgin other peoples bike just think yeah thats your opinion but that guy or girl has theyre heart into that bike and its bad a$$ just for that simple fact......so i leave you with this, ride cause you love to ride....not cause you want popularity. The end lol
