rattling and squeaking coming from my 06 zx6r

well i went on a ride last night and everything is fine no problem. i did a couple of routes. i dont ride agressive been cruising on it. i open it up here and there. i turned to the street where i live and i start hearing a chatter and a squeeking noise coming from my bike. so i stopped and made sure nothing was loose. it only does it when in gear and i was riding in low speed. i shift around 4 or 5k cause i dont want to wake anyone but its freakin me out. it shifts and accelerates fine. any ideas of what it could be. thks for your inputs

Bad suspension link? Does it make the noise at a stop by lightly bouncing the bike?

What condition is the chain in?
Give me a call and I can walk you through a few things to check or just swing by and we can test ride it.

If it's making that much of a racket then it should be pretty easy to tell if it's the chain because there would be a lot of slack. Does the noise go away if you give it a little throttle and start again when you let off?

Mine does... Assuming it's the chain? Haven't ridden it in a bit because of that. Need to order a set anyway .

That doesn't sound good. Whatever the deal is, I wouldn't ride it until it's fixed. No more guessing - find a truck or trailer and take it to Patrick.

count the teeth on the sprocket. see if they're all there. Check every roller on the chain to see if one is broken

Agreed! Another good thing to do is drive it down the street and get to a good cruising speed about 20-30mph and pull the clutch, if you have a crazy repetitive knock/rattle/clunk clunk it's time for a new chain and sprocket set! If if goes away when you pull in the clutch then you have different issues
