Has anyone here installed a quick throttle?

If so, Can you run on the streets as well as the track?
I have noticed that it takes some effort for me to roll the throttle all the way when needed.

spend your $ on trackdays or proper schooling (freddie spencers school, kevin schwantz, jason pridmore..........etc..........), all this other stuff is useless.

A 1/4 turn throttle is too much on anything with power. You want to be able to get a fine adjustment of throttle through a corner. If you hit a bump and your hand moves with a 1/4 turn then you are toast. I ran one on the mini though.

well after you get a few trackdays under your belt, goto a quality school like i mentioned.........

every $100 bolt on item, takes $100 from the $2000 it cost for the school.

all your doing is wasting your $. all these times you see be it 1/4 mi, track whatever was doing it w/ OE stuff, when you start reaching the max performance of your bike.....then worry about quick throttles/doo-dads.

I'm not a big fan of 1/4 turn throttles for the reasons Brian stated; primarily it's difficult to get good throttle control, and on the track, throttle control is everything.
After you've been on the track for awhile you'll find that there are some people who do use them, primarily on SV's, which aren't too sensitive to them.

Thanx for the input, I was just curious if this item is strictly for the track or if it was used on street / track both.

Hey Swift I looked into this as well. You can use it on anything you want as long as they make one for your bike. I decided against using it simply because it'll make the throttle way too sensitive. That extra time that it takes to roll on full throttle probably helps me keep the back wheel in check.

Most bikes out now have 1/4 turn throttles. The "race" throttles are either 1/5 turn or 1/6 turn.

ivans makes a kit, that is pretty reasonable. I also saw a writeup on how to make one on an rc51 website.
