Whether they "identified" those things with one person or a group of people it doesn't give them the ability to stop everyone that is on a bike. There is no "guilty by association" in this land. We are NOT criminals because we ride sportbikes and the actions of anyone else on a bike doesn't justify their illegal .
Dude, youíre living in a fantasy world. I understand that you are trying to say it is profiling. Sorry but welcome to cold hard reality. If one has a finite amount of resources to dissuade a certain behavior, it makes complete sense to focus those resources where history shows the behavior usually emanates from. What do you expect them to do? Pick completely random locations in the city and hope that bad guys seek them out and turn themselves in?

They arenít picking *anybody* with a sportbike. They are targeting specific spots, at specific times of the day, and specific times of the week. Why? Because (letís call it random coincidence) it just so happens that at similar times of the day and week, and by people who seem to like these locations, things seem to happen like....oh...I donít know...SOMEBODY GETS KILLED!

If you want to be at someone, be at the people who have contributed to these bad reputations.

Speaking of which, did I just read right? Somebody DIED on a MH ride last night?? Rather than worry about our plates and lights being on right, maybe we should be worrying about whether the nut riding the thing is on right.

WORD.....however, I did meet up with a buddy @ starbucks(249/1960) for a drink and then to cruise and it was empty...the security guard pulled up behind me with his lights blazing in my eye....I got off my bike and said whats the deal??? he just pulled away and went around starbucks...when my buddy met me he did the same to him and asked him if "ya'll are gonna behave 2night?" and like 5 minutes later HPD was parked in the lot. Not sure WTH happened, but....the heat is on.

Same here...but my comment was general. Whether you are in a car, truck, walking, running, bicycling...whatever...realize that race is a factor. Not to mention the fact that the guys we were discussing weren't riding while receiving those tkts, I doubt they had the gear on.

...and I'm not saying it is ALWAYS a factor...but it is at times.

agreed. I know that all kinds of profiling goes on. That's life. My point is just that it helps to do all you can to minimize the chances of getting stopped or jerked around for "no reason." By being legal, inspceted, registered, etc... that's all. peace out.

Then we are in full agreement...you have to minimize your liabilities in life. If you foolish place something on your bike that is not necessarily supposed to be there, either accept the possibility that you will be confronted by law enforcement on it or get the shyt fixed. The only other thing I am trying do is get people to realize that we don't live in a perfect world so yes, race is a factor...along with a long list of other items...

Some cops are , some cops are cool...way of life! The cop writing those tkts for things like "inspection sticker" in the wrong place, "License Plate must be visible" and items such as tire wear was being a ...because those things are trivial, why would it be necessary to have the inspection sticker visible as long as the vehicle is actually current on inspection? It's not , for any practical sense of course. Visibility of the license plate is relative to the individual viewing said plate. What one person considers visible may not constitute "visible" to the next person. So yes, he was being a ...but if he finds somethin, then you weren't handlin' your business...and it is your fault. I do stress though that THAT particular cop was being a B-I-T-C-H...
