No one doubts what they're looking for, but riding a sportbike isn't illegal.

Whether they "identified" those things with one person or a group of people it doesn't give them the ability to stop everyone that is on a bike. There is no "guilty by association" in this land. We are NOT criminals because we ride sportbikes and the actions of anyone else on a bike doesn't justify their illegal .

I agree with you. I am not saying that there aren't bad cops out there. But unfortunately more often than not the way that bikes are modded gives them a reason they don't need much of one.

Ive never heard of anyone getting stopped just because they were on a bike.

SOMETHING was always not kosher on the bike

And if you are stopped for that reason and they find something else wrong you don't have a leg to stand on....sucks, but it's true...

thumper I never said keeping a bike is spineless, stay focused okay?

IF my attitude...blah, blah, blah...

Don't make assumptions, like I said stay focused. You made a post expecting to get flamed now stand up for what you've written. My attitude is simple really, I ride and obey the laws as I know them. If I break those laws then I should have a reasonable expectation to get stopped and receive a citation for my actions. BUT, if I'm a law-biding citizen there is NO reason in the world that I should put up with an over zealous officer committing an illegal act.

Are we clear?

I agree with you on that as I stated above. I wasn't saying that they should pull you over just because you are on a bike. I said that there is usually a reason, however small. Please read my previous responses

+1 racerx, all bikes have something that technically by the book you could prob recieve a ticket for, same with cars. If a cop pulled you over and did a DOT inspection he could write you a ticket for anything, little laws we dont know about ya know. depends on the cops i guess

I myself always rode around wih the inspection sticker ont he swing arm. I knew that I could be pulled over for it at any time. I go pulled over that one time(he actually didnt give a ticket since he felt bad about arresting me on the warrant) and I never changed it. The 900rr had it on the swingarm as well I think(never had to get it inspected)

Had I gotten pulled over for it, I wouldnt be mad at the cop. He saw reason to pull me over and look for other things..... I E WARRANTS, no insurance/license ETC.. LEO's look for little things to pull you over, no so they can ticket you for them(alot of the times they let you go) but to check on more important things (IE drugs in car, weapons, no lic. or no insurance or warrants...... and yes... it is their job to perform these things.

yeah, i mean they are people too. they have biases, they get lazy. I have heard stories of people speeding, getting pulled over and not having a license or insurance and just getting a ticket, i mean, technically, cant they take them to jail? Too much paperwork, haha i dunno...

Nope. The law says you must have the red reflectors on the plates...
