first of all,you didn't drive or waste your gas, you wasted Leslie's gas. Second, don't forget who was the one working on the bike.
Third, how do you go from wanting to change your number to posting a thread about this?

Things are sold as is....His fault he didnt didnt chec it out better. Thing is,I know you are a good guy, you wouldnt sell him . I think youve went above and beyond what your post sale duties where.

On a side note, as a seller of 2 bikes The person I sold them to, had a few odd problems . I helped out as much as I could, andI think the buyer appriciated it, and knows I didnt sell him a lemmon.

oh I forgot something too in TX a seller doesn't have to disclose any problems unless they are asked and even then they can refuse to answer.
saying things like "I know its a good bike" is just puffery or sellers talk unless you made an express warranty or guarantee than its as is merchandise. Even if you made a warranty in most cases statute of frauds means its going to need to be in writing to be enforced.
So unless you materially misrepresneted the bike's condition to the buyer or drew out a contract youre good.

Unfortunately that won't keep him from coming back and throwing bricks through your windshield if he is , and you know HPD won't give a even if you say you know who did it.

So thats why i said treat him with a little respect.

You sold a bike in perfect running condition. Plain and simple. This isn't a car lot where he can bring it back and hagle. The bike left your hands in perfect working order. Its his fault for not looking over it more and taking it somewhere to be checked out. Thats like buying a car from a individual and getting a flat on your way home then coming back to . But that just my point of view
