Running a little hot...

Changed my oil today ... and noticed that my exhaust burnt a hole in my fairing.

how many miles on the exhaust? It may need to be repacked or replaced (probly not the technical term but hopefully you know what I'm talking about)

Aftermarket exhaust will do that a lot of times. I had to insulate mine in a few spots.

The funny thing is that I can touch my Muzzy slipon without discomfort after a ride. The info that came with it said that the insulation would progressively disintegrate over time, and the pipe would get louder. I would think that as that packing burned away that the pipe would increase in temperature, and once it was mostly gone do what happened to the OP.

The burns are from the header. I can put my hand on the can after a ride.
