On the stock Z they were producing .98g's on the skid pad and The tires on the GT are significantly wider add that along with the rear diff and it makes a huge difference.

I guess it all is different depending on the measuring device, temperature, and driver. Just like anything else. Different magazines = different results. Just like the bike mags. My vehicle dynamics showed a peak very close to 1.25. But who knows how accurate these things are.

Mack, you work within walking distance to my house if you work at McDavid Nissan but I never see your bike up there. Someone rides a Triumph 600 there in the used area.

you can pull a lot of g's if its instantaneous the numbers you see in the the magazine are continuous or average g's. lemans style prototype racers can pull 3 or 4 g's instantaneous.

Lol...who knows how long it will last any takers on bets? BTW, I am not touching the engine.

And the GSXR1000s had a known problem with the #1 connecting rod not getting enough oil and over time were known to blow up not that many GSXR1000s get that many miles before they are totalled.

No, the stock seatbelts are staying in cause the harness isn't needed for daily driving and can be a pain in the putting on everytime. Not to mention that it is not legal on the streets. I have been wearing both belts. Reason being, I don't want a ticket and secondly because there is an interlock with the airbag circuit that detects the seatbelt being latched.

so if the drivers side seatbelt isn't hooked up the airbag doesn't deploy? our van is like that for the passanger side (it's also weight sensetive). i can't see the drivers side airbag NOT deploying because of the seatbelt.

According to my inside source, yes. But I don't have a circuit to look at myself and find out. The reason this is done was to prevent injury from the bag. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the seatbelt.
