Smile SW Sunday Morning Ride Dec. 19 / Intro to trading

Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Place: PP 46 / La Madeleine French Bakery & Cafe (open for breakfast)
2675 Town Center Blvd N, Sugar Land

pp46

Kick Stands Up @ 9:45AM

Route: The usual!

After the ride we will go over the basics of commodities trading for those who are interested in becoming a trader

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please read some basic common sense rules for this ride:

A. keep at least 2 bike lengths distance between bikes at all times.
B. pay attention to the road and the bikes in front of you.
C. ride in staggered formation on straights.
D. No wheelies or passing in the same lane as other riders (use another lane to wheelie/pass).
E. When passing cars, don't slow down after the pass, leave room for the riders that may be passing with you.
F. do not ride out of your comfort zone!
G. keep a constant speed, do not accelerate to pass on the straights and then park it on the turns, its all about being smooth!
H. YOU MUST HAVE INSURANCE UNDER YOUR OWN NAME, NO EXCEPTIONS!

*Please make sure your bike is running in good condition!

What's the usual route, what pace do you usually ride, and what about those who are unable to make the ride but still interested in the trading "seminar"?

we usually have 2-3 groups depending on how many riders show up, the pace for the first group is moderate to fast (not recommended for noobs), the second group is slow and the third group slower (noob friendly).

As far as the trading advice, i really want to make this more of a casual thing rather than a seminar because i want to make it fun to learn. My plan was to have lunch with those who were interested in learning after the ride so i can get to know you a little bit first and find out what are your current situations and your objectives.

we are a regular group of rider that knows each other so we all know the rules already, if you are new then we would wanna see your insurance card on your name

I normally lead the group so i dont get to see what happens behind me but if you are doing something wrong i am sure people will let you know once we take a break at the station.

Most of the rules posted are for the people that are not familiar with our SMRs so please feel free to ask me any questions before you decide to join us.

Anybody have any suggestions as to where to have lunch and a good place for this intro meeting after the ride? Preferably in the SW side of town!

One of the riders used to be on an sv650 and he seemed to be able to keep up. Maxed out 6th gear, however lol.

Yeah that was bad italian on his super sv650! Dont feel pressured to keep up with anyone, ride at a pace that is comfortable to you and enjoy the ride
