Bad back here as well; mostly compressed disks and a couple disks with less than 2mm bulges. If it catches me just right I cannot weight bear on my left leg. With stretching and twisting I can get my back into place to where I can walk again; I can do this in less than 5 minutes. I have found that keeping my core muscles strong reduces episodes. Chiropractic care and yoga also helps.
Stretching and core exercises are definitely the biggest part of my good days. If I keep it up the bad days are few and far between but if I stop my daily regiment that I developed for this issue then I start having bad days. That regiment includes pike ups, tuck ups, push ups, and a few yoga stretches twice a day.
