Glad to hear you're okay man. What gear specifically did you have on? I know when I lowsided a couple weeks ago my gear saved my big time.

That turn still gets me from time to time when I'm in my car. When I drive my car, as soon as I see that 25mph sign and see it cut sharply to the left I take it as slow as possible without getting rear ended from behind. If I'm not mistaken there's a decent amount of gravel on and after that ramp too.

I know dude. Not a problem at all. It never even entered my mind that you were trying to say something like that. It would probably take a lot more than something like that to ruffle my feathers.

I had on Joe Rocket mesh pants with the padding. Even mesh will save your . My knee would be hurting right now if it were not for the pants. I have the cheapo $69 Nitro boots. The toe guard saved my foot. I regular pair of shoes would have been torn up. Joe Rocket Jacket and Scorpion helmet, neither of which even recieved a scratch. Cortech Adrenaline gloves were untouched as well.

Good advice on the corner. There was no gravel anywhere on it. I guess they cleaned that up at some time. Now that I think of it I didn't even see the 25mph sign, and I'm usually really good at reading the signs too. Probably would have saved me the crash.

glad you are OK - now think about the damage the piece of rebar could have done to your body...

Things are always seen in retrospect. That rebar could have done some serious damage to flesh and bone.

Yeah, high siding and getting chunked from the bike right there would have been painful. Bit of a drop off the ramp.
