Tight left hander, down hill, with a rough road surface, and maybe a little positve camber. I've had a few stimulating moments there in my car/truck. I take it real easy on the bike.
Glad you are OK.

Oh, here we go...

I was waiting for someone to ask this... I don't think it would have made a huge difference. That turn (as everyone has stated) is a tricky one and if you don't know it, even sober it would mess you up. I've taken the turn sober as a bird and had an "Oh " moment, even though Lanzer had warned me about it. I've taken it a few times after I've had one or two, since I know what to expect on the turn, I didn't have an "oh " moment...

And yes I do understand the effects of alcohol and reaction time... Just think it's irrelevant and unnecessary question... just so you can say: "Oh, well there you go"...

I was. Got separated by some cars and decided to try and do my own thing. Guess that didn't work out. LOL.

I did make a point of going back up there and looking at the rubber donations. Quite a bit.

Thanks for the pic of the area dude (you know who you are) I put it as my background.

You see this exit ramp sonny? I ran into the wall back in the winter of 10. Better tell your wipper snapper friends on their bikes to be careful. Especially that one on the Mr. Fusion powered 2049 R1.

I've told people about this turn but until they actually take it they don't realize how sneaky it can be. No messing around on that bad boy.

I was going a little too fast getting off the freeway and ended up hitting the concrete barrier on the off ramp. I was able to slow down to about 20-25mph before I hit it. A piece of rebar that just so happened to be waiting there for me blew out the front tire and bent the rim beyond repair. Handlebars were bent a little and the frame slider did it's job for the bike and my leg. The rest is just rash. No one to blame but myself on that one. It was the I-45 southbound Allen Parkway exit ramp. I didn't realize that the turn was quite that tight.

Absolutely no damage to myself. Very minor soreness in some areas. The right knee pad in my riding pants probably saved me some pain and grief. I'm sure it would have been worse with just jeans on. My left toe guard on my boot took a pretty good scrape as well. Once again thank goodness for gear.
sorry tom hear bro. but glad is just the bike
