That bike is a $3500 bike in it's current condition. With the right person procuring the parts, it could be fixed for under $1500.

I have a bit of experience, as I have rebuilt more than my fair share of bikes.

All i see is a clip-ons,clutch lever and fairing stay but everything else rivets and zip ties can fix but its my .2 cent. Everything else is a story to tell when people ask what happened.

I gotta sell it because I have students loans to pay off. It sucks to spend more money to fix it, risk crashing it and be unable to work due to injuries. I need to take my financial situation more seriously. Also, I'm getting rid of it to make my parents happy.

I know man. I won't fade out like other people though. I'll still be on the forums and show up to the Katy meets.

Yea, I was thinking about this route because I haven't even had a taste of the track yet. I'd rather just get rid of it and get another bike when I'm financially stable.

Yea, I quickly looked on Ebay and came to the same conclusion. I think I'm going to start buying the parts in a few weeks. Thanks for your input.

It happened last week on Wednesday. It was just three riders from Katy; NewRider, Jason and I. I crashed at the 610 to 288 north ramp. Went into a low-side slide because the back tire caught the white dots on the right shoulder. I'm very grateful for Byrdman, Jason, and NewRider because they were lookin out for me fo'sho. You can't beat that kind of support from the motorcycle community. That's one of the big reasons I still want to ride.

Be patient. I have some of those plastics but in white and grey. it bondo the tank and paint all the plastics for less than 500. Rear sets are about 60 bucks. And all the scratches and well just wet sand it and put that high heat resisting paint like in the cover and chit.

Don't be fooled by all this ppl offering u less than 3k. If so sell it to me. Ill put less than 300bucks in it an double flip that investment if you dnt want all the trouble.

Get w me pm I can be better help. I can put ur bike just as it was before for like 1k

fix it and sale it.. end of it!
im sure that you can find a lot of parts for cheep and im sure a lot of people will help you put it back together..
we're all rounding up and just adding 1+2 but by the end of the day.. i am sure that you will spend more money then you're planning on..
shipping + tax + time...

your bike is worth a lot! but its going to cost you a lot of time and money!
MONEY.. something that looks like you need to pay your loan not MONEY to spend to fix your bike, money that you shouldn't be spending... or in this case wasting.

you love riding... we all do!
dont waste your money... buy some used track plastics then your parents dont complain about you riding on the streets and stay out of trouble.
bondo the tank and get a clip on then you're good to go!

i hope you didnt take me very personal...... i really dont mean to sound like a .

You got some good advice, I don't think it's at all, anyone that knows about repairing a bike will see that. If you for sure want to sell it you should consider you will probably get around $6000 for it fixed up. As it stands right now, if you put $1500 out of pocket into it, your profit would only be $4500. So if you could sell it AS IS for $4000, that's only a $500 loss. I think you could get $4000 for it as is, i think even $4500 $3500 is giving it away.

Yea, I'm okay man. I walked away with a hurt left should (slightly separated AC; recovering very well) and a scraped right knee. lucky if you ask me.

I'm want to get another bike but maybe not for another year before I pay off all my loans and such. I'll still be around meeting up in Katy.

Pretty lucky.....glad to hear that your ok.

And I agree with most of the guys here, I don't think it will take much to fix it back up again. It would probably be worth fixing it back up to sell for more (vs. crashed).

You can't bondo a hole, unless by hole he meant a dent.
The rest is easy fix, the only thing that might be tricky will be the frame slider bolt. Not sure until inspection. Those frame sliders blow BTW.

If you are planning on selling you should get OEM used parts, it will hold its value better than buying knock-offs unless the buyer doesn't know about it. I

Glad you are ok.

In my opinion BYRDMAN, AKS_Racing, and Azylum are prob the people you should be getting with.
Sounds like they have good experience with this.

My .02 cents... fix it and just come back and ride with us or keep it for track.
