First track day in the rain?

May be able to do a track day with the wife this weekend. Forecast is chance of rain...what are the thoughts of doing a first track day in the rain?

Bad idea?
Good idea?
Irrelevant?

Thanks

While riding/racing in the rain are some of my fun'est experiences... I would NOT recommend it as your first trackday experience. There are advantages to knowing a track in the dry before taking it on when it's wet.

I would recommend waiting until your can experience your first trackday when it's not wet nor cold. Waiting until April or May would be a better choice.

I once road TWS (Texas World Speedway) in the rain and it was 40 degrees and sleeting. Craziest and most scariest time of my life. Then I bought some rain tires. Them badboys work like a dream.

Don't do it. Wait for a clear day. You'll already have too much to concentrate on without adding a wet track into the equation.

Yes, it's a joke, I actually LOVE the wet look on my tires.

YUP....Sat will be sweet...wife and I are signed up and excited to go Saturday. She's a little nervous....but she will do fine.

Me on the other hand...I have low expectations for myself so anything above boring will be awesome!
