Avg Miles for 2007?

I've been looking to pick up a cbr or r6 and seen a few here and there but was wondering what would be consider normal amount of miles for a 2007? What's excessive to the point of don't even look at it?

Avg miles per year...?

More important was how miles were put on it, track, stunt, or street.

When in doubt, have someone provide second set of eyes for potential issues.

Mileage is a vary subjective thing, so providing hard rules or do's/dont's is difficult.

Be wary of that track only bike with 6000 "gently used" miles.

I believe it's subjective too. I bought a brand new 2009 GSXR in August and it has 3000 miles already. If I keep riding the way I'm riding, I'll have maybe 8,000 by June.

My ideal range would be under 10,000 for a 2007.

I've got almost 8k track and street miles on my 07. The 02 has almost 22k. Both run flawlessly, never had oil leaks, breakdowns, charging system trouble, etc. A lot if things can be overlooked by even a veteran MC guy, that's why we offer a pre-purchase inspection up at the shop, even better its free. Most breakdown-type issues will start around 15-20k, but it def. Matters how the bike was maintained. I've diagnosed electrical problems on bikes with 4k, and also have several customers with bikes in the 50+k range.

Thanks for the opinions. To get more specific I was looking at a cbr600rr with 14,500 miles on it, 2007. He says it was mostly street with a few track days from the previous owner.

Get the bike checked out by someone that knows what to look for beforehand. Any good shop or dealership should be able to do this for a little $ or for free.
