went down, broke my leg!

suv pulled out infront of me, pretty much ran me off the road, icon jacket saved my back, but my right leg is broken in 2 places... there were about ten witnesses, cops let the guy go, no report, didnt say anything to me but pretty much, oh well... went to the er, got x rayed, and im wearing a splint...
now i need to find a doctor-ortho, n ill probly get to wear a cast for a while...
my fiancee got the names n numbers of 2 witnesses, and the plate of the white sequoia...

heres the fun part... yeah, im , im seeking legal councel, and im trying to get medical financial help- gold card, etc... i do not have health insurance so im in a jam...

it could have been worse, and i thank it wasnt. i need as much advise as i can get, ima see what my insurance can do, but i doubt they will cover anything- i couldnt afford full cover/pip

thanks mh, thanks for nothing to the 2 officers... i got theyre badge numbers luckily, chris

glad you are OK enough to tell us about it.

But this really me off, someone gets hurt due to an accident and there are witnesses - and no charges are filed.

It is understandable that you dont have health care coverage under Obamahealthcare.

did you get the NAMES of the officers? Badge numbers mean little as they hand them out from a bucket without regard to who gets any number.
Why was there no report? You should have filed one.

Wow, sounds like you ran into some real cops... A friend of mine went down but didnt hit any or anything, it was just him by himself, right infront of cops, these cops though at least asked him if he was fine and if he neede an ambulance, they were cool, but no report... I don't remember them asking his name or anything else...Maybe that's protocol, since the only one that went down was you, hope that helps understand more... Sux to hear man...

So did you hit the car? If not I could see why they wouldnt have made a report. You should just go to an orthopedic doctor ASAP and get that leg set, worry about the bill later, you can set up a payment plan. Hows the bike?

Just a lesson to people, if you cant afford insurance, please dont ride a motorcycle. Our tax dollars will eventually pick up the bill!
I don't have health insurance, but I did choose to add medical coverage to my bike insurance - was only $100 a year extra. And I have life insurance.

Sorry about your accident. Hopefully you'll be able to get it all taken care of soon.
