Laid it down

So tonight I was cut off by an unobservant idiot on Spring Cypredd and laid my Streak down at about 45 mph. I rolled about 3 times and slid for about 40 feet or so, the bike slid, clutch side about 50 yards, jerk didnt even stop. Ground about half the footpeg on my Jardines off, dented the side of my tank pretty good. Going to take it to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited after I csll the insurance. Having a hard time typing because my right arm is in a sling, rode the bike home, just generally rightnow... more later.

I swear, someone should manufacture a low quality, electrical wiring through bike, huge storage space, inconspicuous camera with a super wide angle that you can mount under your fairing or something and get these mother license plates.

I think if they did, homicide rates might go up. But I bet motor vehicle incidents involving bikes goes down.

That sucks man. I feel your pain; I had this happen to me once. Glad your not hurt too bad though.

How did you go down? Did you grab too much brake and lock it up? Thats what I did.

Sorry you laid it down but I'm glad you're okay. I was hit by guy in a truck on my 02' Meanstreak a few years ago. He ran over my legs and it was a miracle that nothing was broken initially. Unfortunately, he ran and no one got his plates. Keep us updated and have a speedy recovery.

This is almost exactly what happened to me, except I had to push my bike home....Sorry to hear about this, but glad it's you telling the story.

Glad to hear you were able to ride the bike home and your not too badly hurt. Driver's need to be more aware and look twice before changing lanes or entering traffic. If the driver did see that they caused this, KARMA will catch up to them for leaving.

Amen. People drive like maniacs on that road. Always bunched up and driving like NASCAR wannabes. No matter how backed up traffic is ahead of you, someone's always riding your as if they expect you sprout wings and fly over the slower cars. Add to that the phone-yakking MILFs in their Escalades and Hummers and it's no fun. I really wish the cops would own that road for a while - I've seen plenty there, doing nothing while people are running 60 in a 45.

It happens to cops in cars too. Was watching "Police Women of Dallas" and some idiot pulled out of a parking lot onto the street and nearly took out a marked cop car. Female officer was just a little off when she pulled his over
