Cruiser as next bike, no way...

My wife has been bugging me for some time to buy a cruiser so that we can enjoy riding together again. I really have no real draw to the cruisers.

Then today, this chopper rolls up. It was really NICE! Amy experience, thoughts or comments?

BTW, have only owned sportbikes as an adult. Many GSXR1000s.

As she would say, we have too many of those already (re: Gix 1000).

The M109Rs are just plain heavy (rode the Russians bike, and it didn't suit me).

this is me suggesting you get a vfr or beemer. forgo the cruiser, with a sport tourer.
edit: with an st bike you dont even *have* to buy new gear, like you would if you got the cruiser.

look at the v-max as well. yes cruisers are heavy, but then again, they soak up bumps in the road and make for a comfy ride

Love the V-max. I'm not a cruiser guy either, my last bike was a 96 VFR and I fell in love with the V4. I just restored an 85 V65 magna with plans to flip it, now I'm having 2nd thoughts because its so smooth and comfy. I took my wife out thursday night on it and she loved it, I think it's a windshield away from perfect.
