High Viz Coats

Just out of curiousity, anyone wearing a high viz coloured coat? (neon green or yellow?) I've been shopping for a new coat and seen an huge selection of them at the bike shops this year... wonder if it'll catch on here like it has in Europe.

Planing on getting a first gear kilimanjaro or Olympia flourescent yellow jacket if I replace my current black and icon orange combo. I have no data other than reading, sorry.

Yup. Olympia Motorsports retina-burn high-viz yellow. Love it. RARELY have any scary moments with cagers, and I'm willing to go out on a limb and give the jacket at least partial credit.

Kilimanjaro is a nice brand but their gear is very warm, not sure you want to use it for Texas. if you pop over to www.advrider.com you'll find a lot of those guys using that brand for long distance rides (i.e. across continents) and can find good reviews of pretty much everything they make. Just an FYI.

First Gear is the brand and kili is the type, but yes it is generally deemed too warm mainly because the primary vents are on the chest not the upper arms. Still it can't be hotter than running wind sprints wearing an IOTV in July, so it is still on the "look into" list.
Thanks for the recommendation. The inmates do give/have a lot of advice, just watch out for jomama as I think it more than rivals our circus. I am spartandude over at advrider as well (FYYFF and all that jazz).
