that is based on the percentages of reported accidents, and doesn't account for the people who have no decency, and keep going. Which I will go ahead and say is the majority...

Houston does have pretty good weather.

I would say that San Antonio would be the ideal texas city for motorcycles. It has Houston's weather, it is a decently sized city, and it is surrounded by great hill-country roads.

A big trailie like my caponord is pretty good. A motard is great. With these roads, it's just like a trail ride.

Tyler is horrible (as for being run over), but at least there are great curvy roads outside of town.

Try anywhere in southern louisiana, shittier roads, even more drunks, and red lights every 30 feet in most cities

I commuted on the 919 today. Highway 6 sucks , 59 sucks , beltway 8 is boring, richmond sux. But Crabb River Road wasn't bad at all.

So, ya, Houston sucks till you get way out of town. i wish my wife understood and would just give in and move to Austin, dammit.

Nope, San Marcos is the best. Cause I can get to whatever riding road in both Austin and San Antonio within an hour.

Oh and its a college town... enough said.

Actually, I drove in city limits, and I found plenty of ways to go that weren't half bad. Allen Parkway, Memorial, Bissonnet, Braeswood for east-west...Waugh, Almeda/Main, Shepherd/Durham/Greenbriar for north-south.

ITA re: 365 days of riding. Wish I had gone out to track days when it would have fit better in my life.

Yes, you have to look out for idiots, but that's true even in a cage. And in every city.

"Ohmigawd, I didn't see you!!!"

"Uhh, yeah... that's why I've ridden up and tapped on your window."

Cypress Rosehill, that's a great road even at cruising speed, lots of curves (sorry for the out of city limits location)
