Running lights? On my bike the tail light is the running lights. They stay on when the ignition is on and brighten with the application of the brake.(Dual Filament) Does your Katana do the same? I thought all bikes tail/brake lights worked this way.
OR do you want to add extra "running" lights for more night-time visibility?

I always wondered why my blinker lights didnt stay on and flash when activated. Wouldnt they be considered running lights?

My Side blinkers are Running lights as well. They're aftermarket flush mount, low heat, High intensity LEDs. I bought them from Racer Edge out here is Vegas. I'll see if I can find out what brand they are, maybe they make them for you bike too.

My Kanatuna had running lights on the front signals only and I really liked them.. Unfortunately the Ninja does not have them for whatever reason. I think it is a really nice safety feature as cagers are less likely to mistake you for another car "with a padiddle (sp?) headlight" i.e. only one headlight....let me know if you find anyway to make this work....I think it is most definitely worth the time to do.

Try Mototeck....Thats what I have on my RR, maybe they make Turn/Running lights for you bike as well. Mototeck is a Canadian base company, but have vendors worldwide. The lights look and work great, Im very happy with mine.

Good luck dude.

EDIT: Oh I'll take a pic of mine to post up, when I get a chance.

I will be installing my UFO kit for an 02' R1 this wknd. Gonna be but they will be very clean and I can take off those big a$$ blinkers in the back as the UFO kit has intergrated turn signals...

here's alink for any other folks interested in the kit
http://www.spyderracing.com/02-03-YZ...3%20yzf-r1.htm

...it's a real nice kit but will cost you a bit of money. Lights are supa bright though, so it's well worth it IMO...they have quicktime flix of the various modes the lights go through at the bottom...

The hotbodies on the RR are running lights. Only problem I have is that the trun signal indicators on the gauge cluster stays on all the time! It is kind of annoying, but I have learned to live with it!
