thanks alot. I'm going to get a carbtune 2 but it ships from the UK, I'd like to be able to use one before friday morning.

if i was in htown i would let ya borrow mine. ... i see you have a first gen r6 as well. Mine was REALLY off when i did mine. now i do mine every two months and sometimes once a month just for fun lol. You've ever done this before?

Hey there is a thread around here someplace that showed you how to build one for $4 with from lowes, anyone remember that?

whoops jus reread that didn't mean to sound mean was just stating that you can get one for not too much. my apologies.

i had that before i got my carbsync... when i got the real tool, i tested to see how accurate the $4 dollar tool was and it was off compared to the real tool. plus it's a hassle since u gotta move the tubes and plugs three times...

its more for a 2 cylinder and its used to sync both together. basically, it couldnt be off, because it wouldnt really matter what media you use, as long as you set both evenly, could be water, could be mineral oil, could be I dunno what, as long as they are both even when complete.

see in theory it's supposed to be easy. But with that tool, it's a lot harder to get it dead even or even close to being even like the carbsync would. I mean, they were definitely better than without that $4 tool, but it was by no means a carbsync or carbtune. Yes it was originally made for a 2 cylinder, that is why we four cylinder freaks needa move the tubes around three times :( Basically it was a pain in the to adjust it perfect. plain and simple.

Never done it, but I have read alot of threads over and over about how to do it.
