Makes sense for the street, so he's not having to re-gear all the time...

I'd love to go that fast....then again I haven't been 225mph on a bike so maybe my thoughts will change as I go faster. Alan, check on your ratios but from what I talked with Bill about, you don't need the OD gears unless you really want them....

I am not sure.....Ofcourse Bill would know better then I but..... I had 19/38 and was topped out at 225mph at 10,700 on a 10,800 limiter.....I figure going down to a 36t would have gotten me 232mph or so....

I could grind the out of my sprocket cover and go to a 20T front and that with the 36t would probably theoretically get me close to 238-240mph but that would have no drive at all in 1st-4th with that tall gearing..... 19/40 or 42 with an OD 5/6th would still have some decent power in the lower gears and have plenty for 240..... Ofcourse this is ALL in theory....You know it NEVER works out like that...

ODs would be much better for all around riding... LSR/Street...etc etc..

You could go to a 55-series tire also for a little more diameter (if it will hook)...

I don't know how your turbo spools but would the taller gearing allow you to get into the power quicker/sooner in the low gears or will it just spin/wheelie?

I'll have to ask Bill what he's running, but I know he doesn't use the OD gears and still has some gearing to play with....then again, not sure what he's spinning the motor to either (pretty sure it's higher than 10,800)...

Still would be tough on the street though...

I'm gonna shoot for 240mph on mine next time out IF I can penny up for the OD 5th/6th gears..... I figure its gonna take 400hp or so to go 240mph with full weight and regular street body work....
I wonder if there was a time when Bill Warner said the same thing.
