...you're hardcore to ride in at 25*.

Really? I have car and a truck. The car gets 26 mpg, the truck 15 mpg and the bike 48 mpg (well 42 with this wind). Since I ride from Galveston to the Med Center every day it only makes sense to ride the bike. It was only 25 when I left, but I doubt the additional 6 degrees would have stopped me. Besides, the look on people's faces are priceless.

Well than are awesome, be carefull, I hit a very small patch of ice in my car and started sliding, on a bike I would have been down for sure, SO how many times on your way in did U think dam I wish I would have drove one of those gas hogs, and would have been worth every penny?

I did that when I was younger and only had a bike, fuc that now, I ride for fun and if it aint no fun then I dont ride, plus its dangerous as , we are at enough risk on good pavement, when its icy and people aint driving good anyway, we are at more risk, I want to live a little longer, seatheaters ftw

Spend the few extra dollars on gas for your car or truck , man if the weather gets wet & icey , then it will be dangerous for you.
Don't risk it if you don't have to.

I have a lot of cold weather gear collected over the years from working a year in Alaska and 2yrs Boston, 2yrs Charleston on a ship in the middle of winter working on deck gets pretty cold . I had to test them to see my limits. I just need to suck it up and get the gloves like ZXAlan said.
Plus riding the cage is so boring. Trying to save gas I hit the "cc" and drive around 65mph. I spend most of the time like a bobbin head doll. At least with the bike I stay more awake and alert.

I rode today... Saw a couple other bikes there too. The only real problem I have is with all that cold air rushing inside my helmet. That and the visor fogging up. Some 'lectric gloves would be nice too...

I caged it today. Should have rode today instead of yesturday. Yesturday's wind was murder. I rode leaning to the right all the way home. At one point I had the wind blocked by a truck w/ trailor; I expected a blast of wind as I passed it, but the gust was large enough that I almost got blown into the next lane and with me on the Busa, we are talking over 700lbs.
