18 year old gets arrested after stuffing his mom in the freezer

Teen arrested after mom found in freezer
Utah police seek return of slain woman’s 18-year-old son from Montana

BOUNTIFUL, Utah - An 18-year-old wanted for questioning in the death of his mother, whose body was found stuffed in a freezer, has been taken into custody in Montana, police said Thursday.

Jeremy Hauck was arrested without incident by Missoula police at a motel on Wednesday night, said Bountiful police Detective Randy Pickett.

Hauck was arrested for investigation of automobile theft, Pickett said. His mother's blue 2001 Toyota was found at the motel.

Detectives from the Bountiful Police Department traveled to Missoula to interview the teenager, but he declined to speak to police on the advice of an attorney.

Hauck is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Missoula's 4th District Court, said the Missoula County attorney's office.

Bountiful police will be seeking Hauck's extradition back to Utah, Pickett said. An arrest warrant for Hauck for investigation of first-degree murder was issued Thursday, Pickett said. He said search warrants were also obtained for the motel and the car.

The body of Laura Hauck, 52, was found Monday in a chest-style freezer at the Bountiful condominium where she lived with her son. It took two days for the body to be identified because it had to be thawed to be removed from the freezer.

The Haucks had not been seen since last Friday. Police were called by relatives to check on the family Monday. When officers entered the Hauck home they found a mattress, shells from a .22-caliber rifle and the body.

Police had been looking for Jeremy Hauck and the blue Toyota Corolla since Tuesday.

People close to the family described the teenager as very quiet and a good student, with no history of violent behavior.

we had some freak like that back in 10 grade. this kid was VERY quiet since like elementary. he made good grades and all then one day just exploded. we were in class and some kid from his group was saying something to him, next thing you know this dude grabs the scissor on his desk and lunges forward grabbign the other kid by the hair and pressing the scissor into his neck, (not puncturing it but threatening to) the class went quiet for a moment and the teachers expression was almost the same as the the kid about to get shanked.. they took his away and never saw him again 0.0

Had a friend in High school grab the teacher by the shirt front (MALE) and body slammed his on the table in the middle of math class.

They kind of made a fuss over that one............

There was a dude im my guitar class that everyone picked on. So one day one of my friends said somethin to him and the kid freaked out grabbed a guitar string (G-string lol) and tried to strangle him. Our teacher (ex-football coach) ran over and picked the kid up off the other one and got hit in the face by the crazy kid. So he went to AEP for assaulting a teacher and a student.

It's nothing new. This kid that went to my school flipped out and shot his mom. He was 14 or 15. Lived across the street from my cousin and used to come over and lift weights with us all the time. He was a quiet one too.

Another group of guys that I went to HS with robbed this kid at a party then took him in the woods, shot him with an assault rifle, and burned his truck. I think they got a 50 year sentence for that.

Yeah, no sh*1. I wonder if they're still wannabe gangsters after spending most of their lives in prison and missing out on everything. What a waste.

Ever notice how you don't hear about the dad getting stuffed into the freezer? I know if one of my kids came at me with a knife and an idea I'd go king kong on them and come flying from the ceiling fan!

No, I'd say it's more that there parents are too busy doing other stuff (drugs, gangs...etc) to parent the kids. Plus sometimes the parents are just kids when they have the kids. (which, is o.k....but parent your kids, dammit!!!)
