I found most be to uncooperative. Even with a manufacturers test drive offer I was denied a ride.

They will let you test drive but, you have to leave a $12,000 deposit.

It really depends on how good of a relationship you have with the dealer, if they trust you enough then they will let you test ride any bike in their inventory, if they dont know you at all then having cash in hand always helps showing the dealer clear intentions to make the purchase and also money to psy for the bike in case things go wrong.

The motorcycle show usually has a test drive opportunity, but the bikes are limited as is the route you can ride.

I still think it's silly, You can't really 'Test' a bike on the street anyhow. You know its fast and handles perfect. Do you really need a test ride?

You obviously have not ridden very many new bikes... The R1 is completely different than the other three Japanese liter bikes, not to mention the difference of going from a SS bike to something like a sport tourer or cruiser.

Good job embarrassing yourself!

Thousands of happy owners and an AMA Superbike championship mean nothing I guess.

A R1 just so happen to be under that 2010 AMA champion so it must be the best sport bike ever made. I am guessing you have always been a Saints fan too.

You can not win a championship unless you have a great bike/car underneath you. I could care less about that anyway. I would have bought a gsxr if I cared what people think. I have been a diehard Cowboys all my life by the way.

Now you're just showing your immaturity. What you have is called poor reading comprehension. All I said is that the R1 is different than the other three liter bikes. I never once claimed it was better. You feel the difference of the cross-plane engine instantly, and you could definitely tell the difference from a test ride.
