however, its not a kid, its a grown adult who is free to make their own choices. i suppose if someone doesnt wear their seatbelt and the car breaks down yall would just leave them too right? same thing.

Since it's family I see where he is coming from...she makes her decision, so he makes his depending on hers...There was a thread about this before, if you look at what i said i'm with you 100%...I think MudBug might still break down and help them out, just not happy about it since they dont listen to him....I agree with him on this.

and no, it's not the same thing....beacuse you didnt warn the starnger in a car if they didnt do something to help themselves you will be less likely to help them...

oh id have my reservations about it as well. i wouldnt like my family riding with no lid either, but ultimately its not my decision, nor would i threaten to leave them on the side of the road. if youre gonna make that ultimatum, then you should say "thats what you get for buying a harley". its far more dangerous than riding with no helmet.

He'll do it anyway. He was just puffing his feathers. Right after they left, stacy had him cleaning the toilet with a toothbrush.

Mudbug, I think you just let your (understandable) emotions cloud your judgement. All you can do is try to influence her safety habits with good information. You can't make her do anything, and giving ultimatums like that will only her off, as you just saw. Just don't nag her to death about it. That never helps either.

Who are you, the helmet police? If they break down and need help, of course you should help them, she's family.
