I concur. But just let 'em settle into their own pace and wait at each turn. Just consider it a chance to have a smoke break.

The noob group should be at the pace of the slowest rider feels comfortable.

wrong, that exact thinking is why we end up trailering bikes home afterwards, new people get pressured to try and keep up and happens and people get hurt, noob=slow, always

So the pace is set by the slowest rider, I would think that would cause other riders to pass and try to keep up with the faster guys. But I can agree with keeping to posted speeds.
thats the purpose of the sweeper.

I would think 80 in turns is a bit much. I've been through there successfully once (wrecked once before) and I don't know if I'd be comfortable at 80 through some of the turns. 10-15 over posted advised speed seems like a good starting point, up to double posted I felt comfortable in some.

That might just be because I've actually wrecked that I'm a little skiddish, or because I'm just a . Who knows.

I'm noobish, I've only run 3090 about a dozen times alone and the speed limit is pretty fun throughout that road. Run it slow first then pick it up a little, that's what I do. Maybe take the slowest riders from the first run and put them towards the front for someone to watch and then critique. I've always thought it would be nice to have someone watch me ride and tell me what I could be doing better.

Sounds like you need to hit up a trackday. You'll get that kinda feedback there. As far as the forest goes, I've never been out there. Been wanting to for a while, but haven't made it out there yet. It really does sound like fun.

you're not lyin, but it's costly, plus this is my only transportation. I'm just working on getting all my gear and whatnot. you should check out the forest, 3090 is a blast just be careful and when the turn sign says 15mph, go 15!
