Pretty dumb story but I had kinda nicknamed my cruiser Helios cause the chrome had a real nice shine to it.

My screen name when I joined MH was M50-Z (bike model and my last initial).

I liked Helios so I changed my screen name.

I haven't named my gixxer.

This was the exact moment I named my cruiser Helios, BTW.

Barbie. Because I'm Ken of course.

I had an old 92 CBR600F2. It was the black, blue, pink stripe paint scheme. You know the years when bikes were all crazy colored like that. Anyway a Harley rider at work was teasing me about it and said something about the "Barbie blue" decals on the bike. I knew the name right there "Barbie Blue" it was. I ended up selling it to a guy at work, so when I bought my 07 FZ6 I named her "Barbie Blue Mark II". Crashed the 07 last summer and replaced it with an 09 FZ6. I named her "Barbie Blue Mark III" a.k.a. "The F-16". I call her Barbie for short though.

I call the 73 Triumph "The Sopwith Camel" because it's such a beast to ride. I sometimes call my FZ6 "The F-16" because that's what it feels like after riding the Triumph.

This is hilarious! But if I'm honest, even though I've never said it out loud, I have always thought of my bike as the DragonFly because when I was younger I found a green dragonfly in the snow and it was in perfect condition, as I sat by the fire marveling at it's beauty it slowly came back to life (which was redundant because I then had to take it back outside where it would surely freeze again)

I have never really creatively naming the bikes.

My favorite '08 GSXR1000 I refer to as "Blackie", and the old 7R I affectionately call "Greenie".

Now the cars: Smiley (C6 vert), Miss Nasty (old yellow vette), Silver Bullet (Lex), the Beast (white F150 4x4). For some reason car names have flowed a bit more creatively.

My Aprilia is Kaylee after a character from Serenity/firefly. I always thought the 98-03 RSVs looked like the ship from that show/movie.

Not really. That's the name of a famous race bike. Naming street bikes doesn't make sense to me.
