Common Race Bikes

What are the most common race bikes seen at local (MSR, etc) tracks lately? The GSXR, ZX, YZF, the new BMW?

The Big 4 stuff and Ducatis are very common and will be seen at every track day, maybe even the BMW?

Seems like GSXR's and Yamaha's are the most popular choice.
Quite a few SV650's also.

You've gotten two of the most common bikes in your stable already.
What are you looking to do?

All years of SV work great. Any GSXR from 2001 forward (aka fuel injected) will get the job done with plentiful parts and trackside expertise. 2002 and later fuel injected R6"S" cause everyone raced that bike until the newer R6 in 2007. I hate Kawis and everyone says the Honda is not as good of a racebike. I love my 1000rr, but not many on the track. I don't see many 1000's on the track, people like the 600's a lot better for track duty. They are clearly easier to ride quicker on the smaller tracks like GSS and Oak Hill (deceased).

Can't go wrong with a 2002 and up Gix or R6, or any SV650.

Yeah, avoid the latest R6 unless you put frame sliders to protect the tank.
