XM here, i like it for the talk shows and news. the music selection kinda sucks for my taste tho. it's cost is $10 per month but you pay 3 months in advance at a time

I have Sirius and couldn't live without it! But it's because they broadcast a radio station from the UK - Radio 1 and it's BRILLIANT. (XM do not have this) I am sure XM is ok too but anyway I paid $125 for the transmitter with a $50 rebate from radio shack (125 - 50 = 75) and I pay about $12 a month but if you sign up for longer they give you a slight price break. Money is automatically drafted from my account and that's about it. Oh I bought a transmitter with a 44 minute pause/replay option and that is truly great for when you are running around in and out the car.

Sirus is great. I picked mine up for around $75 bucks with house kit and you can either pay monthly or pay for lifetime which when you work it out is what you will pay if you keep the subscription running for 3 years. Good variety of music, sports, talk shows, etc whithout all the bullshit talking they do on the radio stations down here!

i have the xm pioneer inno. I love it. It's a pretty simple installation for the car. I pay about 13 a month. I also love the fact that it's portable, so when i'm riding, i hook the headphones up to my inno, and attatch it to my belt, and i can ride and listen to xm all a the same time. Now that's nice

FM modulation would be the easiest, it just broadcast over an FM channel. though the sound quality is lacking. you can buy a cheap sat. receiver for $50. you can also hardwire a direct line between your antenna input.

both services offer a free 3 day trial thru your comp.

I have sirius, and I also love it. I thought Howard Stern was gonna be kinda over the top, even for him, but a lot of his stuff is really funny. Bubba the love sponge is also great..
