Your instructor will cover this on the 26th. :icon_bigg

should be halfway off the seat. Head should be where the mirror is. Pelvis opened to the turn.

But don't look at my pics because I still don't have it down.

Guy one is leaning the bike way over but his body is actually counterleaning (i.e. forcing the bike to do a larger lean angle than if he just rode it straight.). Counterleans can be OK if you have rotated around the tank and have got your hanging way off-but in my humble I am not a track instructor opinion-he doesn't have his far enough off to be doing it.

Of the two guys I have to give the fat dude the props-big bikes like that are hard to ride at large lean angles for long-you just don't have the feedback like on a sportbike.

FYI if you want to see good body positioning check out nig on his sv from the rocketmadness forum.

That first guy is about to run off in the woods. He's off his line and looking off the side of the road (mmmm, hope he likes poison ivy). Maybe he has so much lean angle BECAUSE of his poor setup before the turn and came into it too hot?

Listen here, Bonneville. Bring that toy to the track and I'll school you 9 out of 10 laps. They charge admission though so you might want to wait until the end of the month when your check comes in.

I didn't say I'd lose the race.

I said I'd school you 9 out of 10 laps. I'll sit and eat a ham sandwich while you 'win' the first lap.

I don't know how many of you guys have been to Deals Gap or not, but Killboy.com catches a lot of riders off guard trying to pose for the picture. When you see a guy on the side of the road all of a sudden, it tends to make you wanna look and mess up. I am sure that 95% of the riders on here would mess up too.

The picture right here
<---------- is from Deals Gap as well as the one below. You just got to train yourself to not look at hazards on the side of the road and look where you want to go.
